Slide Names Co-Founder Austin McChord Interim CEO

WESTPORT, Conn. — October 14, 2026 — Slide, the business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) company built exclusively for managed service providers (MSPs), today announced that co-founder Austin McChord has been appointed interim chief executive officer, effective immediately. He succeeds co-founder Michael Fass, who has stepped down from his position as CEO.

Fass was a driving force in building Slide and shaping its success. He assembled and led the team that developed Slide’s initial product offering and forged the partner relationships that have fueled the company’s growth. During his tenure as CEO, Slide grew to serve more than 1,000 MSP partners worldwide and expanded its operations internationally.

“Michael and I started Slide because we believed MSPs deserved something better,” said McChord. “He brought that vision to life, and I’m deeply grateful for his leadership in building Slide into the successful, growing business it is today.”

McChord founded Datto and scaled it into a global technology provider serving MSPs. His experience leading a BCDR business at scale, combined with his engineering and product development background, positions him to guide Slide’s next phase of growth.
