Datto started as a data backup and recovery company and went on to become the leading provider of cloud-based software and technology solutions purpose-built for delivery through managed service providers (MSPs). He ran the company as CEO, transforming the MSP industry from a static, break-fix business into a recurring revenue technology ecosystem.

Michael has been a transformational leader in high-growth, global technology environments. He was the sole continuous executive leader at Datto throughout the company’s 9-year journey of scale from a 100-employee tech startup to a global, publicly-traded, $6+ billion enterprise. Michael has led teams that created thousands of jobs and multi-billion dollar returns for investors.
